Biography

Born in the UK, Katie has lived and worked in UK, Hong Kong, Botswana and now Australia. Moving to Australia in 2008, she lives in Kalamunda in Western Australia, where she loves spending her free time camping, boating and exploring with her family. Many of her pieces of work reflect time spent enjoying these activities.

On moving to Australia Katie fell in love with a very different landscape - a landscape which has inspired many of her recent works. Elegant white gums, glorious beaches and the quirky charm of buildings are just some of the influences. "Western Australia has many fantastic locations to treasure - we are so privileged to have such a pristine environment to live, work and play in."

Since living in Australia Katie has regularly returned to Europe to visit relatives and friends. There, the family divide the time between England and Croatia. You can see some of these European influences in her paintings.

Katie has enjoyed painting for many years, drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources. More recently she has undertaken workshops with leading artists to hone her skills in oils, acrylics and watercolours.

In 2013, Katie took the bold step of putting her work up for sale, encouraged by her family, friends and those who have appreciated her work.
